LXi CONTROLS QUICK GUIDE
Operating Modes
• The LXi will heat the pool or spa only when
the filtration system is running and the
control has been turned on to either POOL
or SPA as indicated by the enabled mode
LEDs.
• Maintain Temperature (Auto-Heat) will allow
the heater to check the pool temperature
periodically and override time clock
settings, heating the pool or spa whenever
the temperature falls below the set
point. This feature on the heater requires
additional field wiring.
Normal Operation
• Lit Jandy icon indicates unit has power.
• Choose Pool or Spa. Each has its own set
temperature. The LXi includes the necessary
controls to switch valves from pool to spa
operation.
• Green enabled LED above icon will light.
• Temperature may be raised or lowered.
• Red LED above icon indicates unit is heating
User Set-up
With the unit in the OFF mode, press and
hold the MENU key for 7 - 10 seconds. The
UP & DOWN arrow keys toggle between the
different functions. The MENU key toggles
various options within the functions. The
POOL & SPA keys end the Setup Mode and
return to ‘OFF’.
User Set-up Functions
1)
Language Selection
Select from English, Spanish, French, Italian,
Portuguese or German.
2)
Temperature Scale
Select Fahrenheit or Centigrade scale.
3)
Spa Timer
Provides automatic shut down of spa
operation.
4)
Display Lighting
Controller lights can be set ON, OFF or to
SHUT OFF after a two minute delay.
Service Set-up Mode
From the off mode, press MENU, followed
by POOL & SPA, holding all three buttons
simultaneously for 7 - 10 seconds.
The UP & DOWN arrow keys toggle
between the different functions. The MENU
key toggles various options within the
functions. The POOL & SPA keys end the
Setup Mode and return to ‘OFF’.

Maintain Temp Set-up Mode
Follow directions from Service Set-up Mode
(see above), Maintain Temperature (Service
Set-Up Function 1). To operate in pool
mode with the Maintain Heat feature, press
POOL, then press MENU, press the Down
button until MAINTAIN POOL HEAT is
displayed, press the MENU button.
The associated left green LED indicator
will light and the unit will display SET:
XXXº. Change the temperature set point
by pressing the Up or Down button until
the desired set pint is displayed. After 5
seconds of inactivity, the new set point is
stored in memory.
LXi
Heaters
A Jandy LXi heater optional control can be installed
remotely with 22AWG 4 conductor wire up to 300’. The
additional control (p/n R3008800) can also be wired for
control in the pool house or in the home. All wiring must
be done in accordance with applicable local and National
codes and requirements.
AquaLink RS/Remote Enable
Remote system must be wired as shown below
before enabling the remotes options on the
controller.
Enter Remote Thermostat in Service Set-up Mode
(#3 from Service Setup Mode functions).
• Display will show REMOTE on the second line.
The UP/DOWN arrows will toggle to options:
‘OFF’, ‘HI-LO-COM’, or ‘REMOTE T-STAT’.
• For Aqualink RS connection use ’REMOTE T-
STAT’, then MENU to save selection.
• Select SPA. Raise heating setpoint, using UP
arrow key, to maximum (104°F).
• Control will indicate heater in Spa Heat mode and
will alternately flash REMOTE T-STAT ENABLED.
• For 3-wire remote systems select HI-LO-COM.
Control will alternately flash REMOTE T-STAT
ENABLED.

Remote system must be wired as shown before
enabling the remotes options on the controller.
• Display will show JANDY REMOTE ONLINE
PUSH MENU TO DISABLE, all control at the
Heater is disabled.
• To temporarily use the Heater controls, press
the MENU button. The display will disappear
and all functionality will return to the Heater
Control.
• To return functionality to the RS unit, cycle the
power to the Heater, or press the MENU button
for 5 seconds to enter the User Setup Mode
and then enable the Jandy Remote.
