I m port ant Not e: The backup bat t ery, which allows t he m ain bat t ery t o be hot- swappable, m ust charge at a low current .
Initial charge-time for the backup battery, therefore, is 72 hours. This initial charge-time is required prior to irst use or
aft er a full drain of t he backup bat t ery. Please see t he Product User Guide for addit ional det ails.
To char ge t he bat t er y using t he USB Ca ble or Se r ia l Ca ble :
1. Connect t he pow er supply t o t he USB or ser ial cable.
2. Connect snap- on end of USB or ser ial cable t o syncing/ char ging connect or at t he bot t om of device ( Har dwar e

1. Connect t he pow er supply t o t he cradle.
2. Connect t he line cor d t o t he pow er supply.
3. I nser t appr opr iat e AC adapt er and plug in t he pow er supply. Use only easily accessible wall out let s t hat ar e
easily r eached w it h t he lengt h of supplied pow er cable.
4. Place the device in cradle. The LED will illuminate to conirm connection (orange indicates charging, green
indicat es fully char ged and r ed indicat es fault ) .
5. The bat t er y is fully char ged in appr oxim at ely 5 hour s.
6. For Sin gle - Slot cr a dle on ly : Char ge a spar e bat t er y by placing t he bat t er y in t he spar e bat t er y w ell w it h
connectors lined up. An LED will illuminate to conirm connection.
