Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of your new Jamo Multi-P urpose Amplifi er (MPA-201). It is
backed by state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing techniques to bring you the best
quality craftsmanship and reliable performance.
The MP A-201 is specifi cally designed for home theatre applications. Because of its ample power
and tw o-channel capacit y (stereo), it can fi t into virtually any surround application. Narrow width
chassis is designed for conv enient shelf or syst em rack mounting in the space of the one stereo
component.
It allows you to use one amplifier as lef t and right stereo front speakers, sec ond amplifier use as
left and right rear (surr ound) speak ers and thir d amplifi er use for centre channel.
Bridge mode capability allows the use of the two channels connected together to form one high
pow
er amplifi er channel, pro viding 200 watts int o 8 Ohm.
The MPA-201 is also a subwoof er amplifi er with adjustable elec tronic crossover. With switch in
OFF position it becomes full r ange amplifi er .
The power rating for the Jamo MPA-201 pow er amplifi er are obtained using fi xed v alue test
load impedances and high intensity sine wave t est tones . However, the ac tual impedanc e of the
loudspeaker will vary with frequency, deviating somewhat from the loudspeaker manufacturer's
nominal impedance rating.
T his Jamo amplifi er has been specially designed t o drive any modern loudspeaker system with
a rat ed impedance of 4 Ohms or higher .
