Tool change

10.2 Manual tool change
1 Collet
2 Knob
The tool is clamped by tightening the collet. Proceed as follows:
Ü Press the knob in until it engages.
Ä
This blocks the shaft and prevents it from turning.
Ü Turn the knob in the direction of the R arrow.
Ü Remove the tool.
Note: Ensure functionality.
All contamination damages the collet, clamping nut, tool mount, etc. As a re-
sult, the function of the HF spindle is no longer guaranteed.

Clean the collet.
u Clean the inner taper of the shaft.
Ü Insert a suitable tool into the collet.
Ü
Turn the knob by hand in the direction of the L arrow.
Ä
Recommended torque: 2 - 2,5 Nm
Ä Do not use any mechanical aids for tightening. This could damage the
thread (M3) in the collet.
Note: Release the lock.
After the tool change, release the knob as otherwise the HF spindle will be
damaged.
Ü
To prevent the clamping system from loosening, tighten it again after a
short period of operation and when the shaft is at a standstill.
Ü To change the collet, unscrew it fully.
10.2.1 Depth stop
The collet contains a depth stop (adjustment).
