Installation
Before installation:
Ü
Check the HF spindle for damage and ensure that it is complete.
If the HF spindle has been stored for a long period:
Ü
Carry out all steps in the Commissioning after storage section.
8.1
Torque support
DANGER: Due to ripped-off cables and lines.
When the HF spindle is rotating, power cables and media supply lines may
be ripped off and flung around.
If the HF spindle is inserted into the main spindle of the machine tool:
u
The main spindle of the machine tool must be at a standstill.
Sample illustration: Torque
support
Machining forces can lead to impermissible rotations.
Ü
We recommend using a torque support.
Ä
Secure the HF spindle in the main spindle against twisting.
Ä
Only the tool rotates.
Ü
Because of the different machine tools, the torque support must be de-
signed specifically for the machine concerned.
Ä
Optional accessories (on request).
8.2
Installing the short taper
Note: Note the maximum weight.
When using the HF spindle in the automatic tool changer, the total weight of
the HF spindle including adapter taper and tool may not exceed the permit-
ted maximum weight for the tool changer.
u
It is essential to note the weight in the "Technical Specifications
section.

adapter
Ü
Fit a suitable short taper adapter to the HF spindle.
Ä
Screws: 6 x M6 (pitch circle Ø 76 mm)
Ä
The screws are not supplied with the HF spindle.
Ü
Before connecting/disconnecting the media coupling or HF spindle, make
sure that all cooling hoses and cooling lines (supply and HF spindle) have
been blown out.
