When you want to swap a leather strap for another leather
strap, you must also detach the folding clasp. To do so, first
detach the strap section with the adjustment holes by lifting
up the clasp cover to release its metal prong fixing it to the
leather (Fig. 1). Then slide out this section until it is released
from the clasp (Fig. 2). Note that you can also adjust your strap
to your wrist size in the same way, by moving the metal prong
to another hole.
To detach the other strap section, you must push up the flap
locking the section in the clasp, using your fingernail (Fig. 3).
The words “PUSH HERE” are written at the point where you
need to press to do this.
Once this locking flap has been lifted, you can release the
leather strap’s metal bar from the groove where it was kept
locked by the flap, simply by pushing it downward (Fig. 4).
To attach another strap to the clasp, follow the procedure in
reverse order: first slide the bar fully into the groove of the
clasp and then lock it by folding down the flap until it clicks.
Adjusting the strap/bracelet size
To adjust leather straps to your wrist size, please consult the
instructions above.
To adjust the size of an articulated rubber strap or a steel
bracelet, you must consult your authorised Jaeger-LeCoultre
retailer which, given the complexity of the operation, will
handle it for you.
