REAR REEL CIRCUIT FLOW TEST

Section two (Center Section) of the triple gear pumps
supplies hydraulic oil to the rear reel valve and circuit.

1. Shut off engine and remove ignition key.

2. Set up flow meter for a “T” test.

3. Connect the flow meter to the reel (auxiliary)

hydraulic pump section two. Connect the flow
meter IN port hoses to the section one pressure
fitting and hydraulic line to the reel valve. The flow
meter OUT port is connected to the hydraulic res-
ervoir (Figure 8N-10).

4. Insert blocking disc on flow meter hose connected

to the rear reel valve hydraulic line.

5.

Fully open the load valve on the flow meter

6. Set parking brake, start engine, and advance

engine speed to full throttle.

7. Record pump section two no load flow indication

on “Rear Reel Circuit Test Record”.

CAUTION

Do not allow the system to develop more that 3500
psi (2411 bar) hydraulic pressure.

This test is not

protected with a relief valve.
