3 ADJUSTMENTS
12
3.12 PARKING BRAKE SWITCH __________________________________________________
1.
Use a volt/ohm meter to determine when switch
contacts open or close.
2.
Engage parking brake and adjust parking brake
switch (A) as required to close contacts. Switch
contacts should open when parking brake is
disengaged.
3.
Check to see if gap of 3/32 to 1/8 in (2 to 3 mm) is
maintained between sensing surface of switch and
brake arm.

3.13 NEUTRAL START SWITCH __________________________________________________
1.
Use a volt/ohm meter to determine when switch
contacts open or close.
2.
Adjust neutral switch (B) so “finger” of traction pedal
is centered over sensing portion of switch.
3.
Switch contacts should be closed with traction pedal
in neutral and open with pedal movement in either
forward or reverse direction.
4.
Check to see if air gap of 3/32 to 1/8” (2 to 3 mm) is
maintained between sensing portion of switch and
traction pedal finger.
5.
Check pedal assembly for any lateral movement.
Add shims to pedal arm as required.

3.14 3WD SWITCH _____________________________________________________________
1.
Use a volt/ohm meter to determine when switch
contacts open or close.
2.
Adjust 3WD switch (C) so contacts are open with
traction pedal in neutral position and close with
minimal pedal travel in forward direction.
3.
Switch should remain open with pedal movement in
reverse direction.
4.
Check to see if air gap of 3/32 to 1/8” (2 to 3 mm) is
maintained between sensing portion of switch and
traction pedal finger.
5.
Check pedal assembly for any lateral movement.
Add shims to pedal arm as required.
