Telephone.
The telephone is designed in Denmark by Jacob Jensen, whose
products have gained international recognition for their original,
simple and classic design. Jacob Jensen has received around 100
prizes from around the world and has 19 products included in The
Design Study Collection and The Design Collection of The Museum of
Modern Art in New York.

Telephone 3 is suitable for connection to the
public network and can either stand or be mounted on the wall.
The telephone displays the number dialled and is equipped with a
memory for 1 numbers, mute function in the handset and high/low
ringing tone adjustment.
Installation
Table stand
The telephone is supplied with a table stand which you attach as the
following:
1. Slide the canals of the table stand into the tracks of the base. The
table stand is mounted when you hear a click.
2. Fit the modular contact of the coiled cord into the plug of the
telephone and handset.
3. Connect the telephone line cord to the base and to the wall outlet.
Wall mounting
The telephone can be mounted on the wall by doing the following:
1. Disconnect the coiled cord from the base and the line cord from
the wall outlet.
2. Push the button inside the square hole next to the modular jack
using a pen or a finger, and pull the bracket away from the base at
the same time.
3. Place the telephone on the screws already mounted on the wall
(use the template on page 21).
. Reconnect the coiled cord and the telephone line cord to the base
and the wall outlet.
How .to .make .a .telephone .call
To lift off the handset, gently press on the upper part of the handset
with your index finger and the handset falls into your hand.
1. Lift off the handset and wait for the dialling tone.
2. Dial the telephone number.
3. Put down the handset when the conversation is over.
Redial
If the number called is busy, or if you want to repeat the telephone
call press the
key and the number is dialled automatically. The
number will be stored until the next time a telephone call is made.

1. Lift off the handset.
2. Wait for the dialling tone from the switchboard.
3. Enter the prefix for the cityline.

5. The last number dialled is automatically called.
Notice: Numbers larger than 32 digits cannot be stored.
UK
One .and .two-touch .numbers
The telephone has a memory for three one-touch numbers, ten two-
touch numbers and one number of max. 20 digits.
To store numbers into the memory, do as the following:
One-touch numbers:
1. Lift off the handset and wait for the dialling tone.
2. Press
3. Enter the telephone number you wish to store.
. Press one of the keys M1, M2 or M3.
5. Hang up the handset.
Two-touch numbers:
1. Lift off the handset and wait for the dialling tone.
2. Press
3. Enter the telephone number you wish to store.
. Press
5. Press 0-9 to select location.
6. Hang up the handset.
Save .number
The MEM+ key is used for saving a number often used.
After dialling the number, press the
and the MEM+ key and the
number is saved until the next time a number is stored.
Lift off the handset, wait for the dialling tone, press the MEM+ key
and the number stored is automatically dialled.
Note: When dialling through a switchboard it might be necessary to
insert a pause between the prefix and the number called. Use the
key to insert a pause (e.g. 0
70226033).
Automatic .dialling
One-touch numbers:
Lift off the handset, wait for the dialling tone and press M1, M2 or
M3.
Two-touch numbers:
Lift off the handset, wait for the dialling tone, press the
key and
the selected location 0-9.
Mute .function
When the MUTE button in the handset is pressed and held down
the microphone is disconnected. When the button is released, the
microphone is active again.
Ringing .tone .
The ringing tone can be adjusted to “HI” or “LOW”. Slide the switch
at the rear side of the base into the desired position.
Talking .timer
When you make a telephone call the telephone displays the duration
of the call. The timer starts counting when you pick up the handset.
After 59 minutes and 59 seconds the timer resets to zero and starts
again. The timer automatically stops when you put down the
handset.
R-key
The R-key is used for connecting a telephone call using a switchboard
(PABX) and for some special services offered by the telephone
company.
Cleaning
Clean the telephone by using a soft cloth. Do not use aggressive
chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents.
