4.4 PREFLIGHT INSPECTION
Before flight, a careful visual inspection is to be carried out to ensure that the aircraft and its
systems are serviceable. Aircraft must be placed in a clear area of level ground to carry out
the inspection.
CAUTION
Do not carry out inspection while distracted
– i.e. due to onlookers etc
The following Figure is to be used in conjunction with the pre-flight inspection checklist:

Remove Covers / Release Aircraft
A.
Remove covers from engine exhaust, inlet, cowl openings etc.
B.
Remove left wing tie-down
C.
Remove left wing fuel vent cover
D.
Remove cover from static source
E.
Remove tail tie-down
F.
Remove right wing fuel vent cover
G. Remove right wing tie-down
H.
Remove nose leg tie down (where used)
