Electric Lawn Mower
EN
Electrical Safety Rules
CAUTION: The appliance should always
be switched off at the mains before
disconnecting any plug and socket
connector or extension cables.
Increased safety can be obtained by having a
•
qualified electrician install a high sensitivity (30mA)
circuit breaker in the house wiring. If you do not have
such a circuit breaker installed, or you do not wish
to have one installed, then we strongly recommend
that the electric power to your mower be supplied
through a high sensitivity residual current device
(RCD). The RCD is designed to provide a high degree
of personal protection against harmful electric
current should fault conditions occur.
NOTICE: The use of an RCD or other
circuit breaker unit does not release the
operator of your lawn mower from the
safety instructions and safe working practices
given in this manual.
The mains voltage must correspond to the one
•
marked on the technical data plate (230V~50Hz). Do
not use other sources of power.
The use of a safety circuit-breaker is
•
recommended for the power supply line for an
intervention range of 10 to 30 rated mA. Consult a
reliable electrician.
Never pass the appliance over the extension
•
cable that the mower is working, as this could cut
the cable. Make sure you always know where the
cable is.
Use the special cable holder for the connection
•
of the extension cable.
Do not wire an extension cable directly into your
•
mower yourself. Instead, take your mower to your
nearest Performance Power service agent
Never use the appliance when it is raining. Try
•
to prevent it from getting wet or being exposed to
humidity. Do not leave it outside overnight. Do not
cut damp or wet grass.
The power supply cable should be checked
•
regularly and before using it each time, make sure
the cable is not damaged or worn out. If the cable
is not in good condition, do not use the appliance;
take it to an authorized service center instead.
Only use an extension cable that is suitable for
•
outdoor work. Keep it away from the cutting area,
from damp, wet or oily surfaces or with sharp edges
and away from heat and fuels.
Unpacking
When unpacking, check to make sure that all
components are included. Refer to the assembly
drawing on the last page. If any parts are missing or
broken, please call IVT assistance center.

(d) and knobs (4).
Ensure that the cable is fastened to the lower
•
part of handle (2) using the cable clips (8) in the
package.
Anchor the cable in cable hook (7), which

eliminates any tension thereon. Ensure that the
cable is sufficiently slack.
Ensure that the cable does not get tangled up
•
when folding the upper part of the handle (3) up
and down.
