 Inspection

Check the pressure drop across the filter. The pressure drop is measured with a 

pressure gauge connected to the measurement outlets. The measurement out-

lets are connected to each side of the filter.

The filter should be changed if the pressure drop across them exceeds the spec-

ified final pressure drop. It is important to stop the unit before changing filters to 

prevent dust from coming loose and being drawn into the unit. Also carry out a 

visual inspection of the filter for damage and deposits. 

The final pressure drop is specified on the filter section decal (filled in when the 

air handling unit is put into operation).
