Static Neutralising Unit.
1. Safety
The TEKNEK static neutralising power supply unit is a power source only for ionisation equipment. Any electrical installation,
maintenance and repairs have to be made by a skilled electrical engineer. Always disconnect power supply from the static neutralising
unit before maintenance or repairs.
If any changes, adjustments etc. have been made or if non-original parts have been used for repairs, CE approval for the equipment will
be withdrawn and equipment will be no longer certified under CE and the guarantee voided.
Note: Equipment must be properly grounded before use.
2. Use and operation.
The static neutralising power supply unit is a power source only for ionisation equipment. The unit contains a transformer which
generates high voltage for ionisation equipment.
The transformer is a short circuit proof design.
The maximum output current is restricted by the transformer.
3. Installation.
Install the static neutralising power supply unit in correct position within the range of connection leads of the ionisation equipment.
Attach the power unit using the fixing holes in the base plate.
The power supply point to be used must be easily accessible.
Is recommended that the static neutralising power supply unit is automatically switched ON/OFF via the parent machine.
Note: A connection to earth is needed to ensure
proper operation and to avoid electric shock.
It is the responsibility of the installer to make sure that the equipment is properly earthed.
3.1 Installation checks.
•
Check that unit is undamaged
•
Check the supply voltage and make sure it is corresponds with power selector switch on the unit.
•
Check that ionisation equipment is connected properly (static bars).
•
Connect power cord to power socket.
