iS5 Communications Inc.

Command Line Interface
Management

Besides Web-based management, the iES22GF also supports CLI management. Use either the console port

or telnet to manage the switch via the CLI.

CLI Management by RS-232 Serial Console (115200, 8, none, 1, none)

Before configuring RS-232 serial console, connect the RS-232 port of the switch to your PC Com port

using a RJ45 to DB9-F cable.

Follow the steps below to access the console via RS-232 serial cable.

Start Tara Term (or other terminal emulator) application.

Under

Setup

select

Serial Port

(3)

Select the COM Port used by your PC to connect to the Console Port. Set the rest of the properties to: 115200
for Baud rate, 8 for Data bits, None for Parity, 1 for Stop bits and none for Flow control, then press “OK”.
