STEP 1.
Plug USB Common Access Card Reader into the
computer. The Windows OS will auto install the device
driver.

Once the device driver is done installing, your device is
ready to use.
Using your Common Access Card:
1. Insert a CAC into the Card Reader Slot.
2. CAC Reading Status LED will light up to notify you
that your card is being read.
3. Your computer will detect the card and will
automatically begin installing the driver.
Note:
If you do not have the appropriate CAC
middleware installed, an error message will display
“Device driver software was not successfully installed”.
To use your CAC, please download the appropriate
middleware after the installation process.
