4.2.1.1. File names and rename a file
The name of the file (recording) is automatically generated, based on the information in the EPG. The format is: EPG c dot +
the name of the pro dot + two digits divided by a dot. The first digit is increased if a file with the same name already exists
(if a recording with the same filename is present). The second digit is increased when the recorded file have been divided, due to
changes of the status during transmission of the programme (scrambled to not scrambled, etc.) If there are no files with the same
name, the last 2 digits will be 0.0.
If you use the “Time Shift” option, pressing the “Pause/Play” key (26) while watching a live programme, a file with name “Time Shift”
is automatically generated in the library list. This file is temporary and will be replaced with a new one every time you use the “Time
Shift” option. If you would like to keep the time shift file, you must rename it or move it to a different folder.
To rename a file, select the file in the library list using the navigation keys “Up” and “Down”. Then press the “Yellow” function key (25)
and enter the new name with the alpha-numeric keys 0-9. Press the “OK” key (6) to accept the changes.
4.2.1.2. Play a file
To play a file, select the file in the library list, using navigation keys “Up”
and “Down”, then press the “Pause/Play” key (26) or “OK” key (6). At the
beginning of the play mode, the info bar will appear at the bottom of the
screen, showing the available commands. The info bar will disappear after
a few seconds, but can be displayed again at any time by pressing the “OK”
key during playback.
4.2.1.3. Fast Forward/Rewind (FWD/RWD)
You can search forward or back through a recording by using the <<</>>>
keys. By pressing the “RWD” (10) or “FWD” keys (11), you may fast forward
or rewind at speeds of 2 to 32 times the normal playback speed. To increase
or decrease the speed, press the “FWD” or “RWD” keys repeatedly. The
playback speed will be displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. To
return to normal speed, press the “Pause/Play” key (26).
4.2.1.4. Slow Playback
You can slow the playback in forward or reverse to ½ and ¼ normal speed. To activate or toggle the speed, press and hold the
“FWD” or “RWD” key for approximately 1 second. To return to normal speed, press the “Pause/Play” key (26).
4.2.1.5. Bookmark and last view stop mark
When you press the “Stop” key (27) during playback, the current position in the recording is temporarily marked as the “Last Viewed”
position and is used as the start position, the next time you start playback. You can use the navigation keys “Left” and “Right” to
change start position before play function. The mark will be deleted and a new one will be created the next time you press “Stop”
during playback.
You can store a permanent Bookmark by pressing the “Green” function key (9) during playback. Using the navigation keys “Left” and
“Right”, you can move the video position to different bookmarks. You can also edit the bookmarks using the function keys shown on
the info bar that appears when you press the navigation keys during playback. You can also scan through existing stop marks and
books marks by pressing the navigation keys while in the Library view.
4.2.1.6. Screen shots
If you want to take a still picture of the currently playing video, press and hold the “Pause/Play” key (26) for approximately 1 second.
A jpeg image of the paused video will be stored on the hard disk under the name of the file that was being the date and
time.
4.2.1.7. Skip
There are four possibilities to skip certain recording time during viewing.
1 – Use the navigation “Up” and “Down” keys to skip 1 minute forward (Up) or backward (Down).
2 – Use the numeric keys 1-9 to skip forward, respectively. If key 5 is pressed, it will skip 5 minutes forward.
3 – Use the “Yellow” function key (25) to start the “Go to Position” option and enter a desired time, using the numeric keys 0-9.
4 – Use the navigation “Left” and “Right” keys to jump from one bookmark to another.
