10.3 Removing/Installing Standard Back Upholstery.
Removing
1.
Remove the back. Refer to Removing/Installing the Back on page 72.
2.
Remove the mounting screw (A) that secures the back upholstery
(B) to the back canes (C).
3.
Remove the back upholstery from the back canes.
Installing
1.
Slide the back canes into the back upholstery.
2.
Secure the back upholstery to the back canes with two mountings
screws.
3.
Install the back. Refer to Removing/Installing the Back on page 72.

10.4 Adjustable Back Upholstery
Adjustable Tension Straps
The adjuster straps can be adjusted at various levels of tension to accommodate individual end-users. In a typical scenario, the bottom two straps can
be adjusted tightly to support and/or assist the extensor muscles.
Back Upholstery Cover
The back upholstery cover is designed for three reasons:
1.
The first is as a modesty cover.
2.
The second is to keeps the cushion from sliding out of the back of the wheelchair.
3.
The third is a sacral support depending upon how far or tight the seat portion of the back upholstery is pulled under the seat cushion.
