9 Motor Locks, Wheels and Brakes
WARNING:
After any adjustments, repair or service and before use, make sure that all attaching hardware is tightened
securely - otherwise injury or damage may result.
CAUTION:
As with any vehicle, the wheels and tyres should be checked periodically for cracks and wear, and should be
replaced.
9.1 Disengaging / Engaging
Motor Lock Levers
WARNING:
Do not engage or disengage motor locks until the
power switch is in the OFF position.
1. Perform one of the following:
•
Disengage (PUSH) - pull the knurled drive dog
‘outwards’ away from the wheel and turn to
disengage.
•
Engage (DRIVE) - turn the knurled drive dog until
it moves ‘inwards’ towards the chair. You will be
able to feel the drive dog engage.
