Belt Splicing System v.2.0

Accessories

Pitch Gauge:

Metal plate with notches to test

belt pitch accuracy

Skiver:

Handled tool with a u-shaped blade

used to trim the weld bead from spliced belts
(Flexco™ rough-top Skiver or similar)

Belt Tabs:

Small pieces of ThermoDrive belt

used on Grooved Deck ends to ensure even
clamping pressure across the belt during splic-
ing; replacements available from Intralox

Trimmers:

Sharp nippers with rubber-covered

handles used to remove flashing on the belt
edge and perform other trimming tasks
(Xcelite

trimmers or similar)

Silicone Spacers:

Two (2), reusable, rectangu-

lar strips of rubber used to securely clamp cer-
tain belt ends; stored in white, cylindrical can;
details for use in
