Remote Interfaces Overview
The
ATS-515, -525 & ATS-615 & -625
Systems have three different communications interfaces:
GPIB (IEEE-488.2), Serial (RS-232C), and a limited MCT hardware interface (ST/EOT/SFF).
• The IEEE-488.2 and RS232C Serial versions of the
ATS-515, -525 & ATS-615 & -625
host
interface use the same instructions.
• To successfully implement a communications interface, it is important for the operator to
be familiar with the interface’s specifications and standards, which are not provided in this
manual.
• This manual provides information specific to the
ATS-515, -525 & ATS-615 & -625
Systems
and identifies which instructions the System supports.
• For the System to be controlled by a remote Host, the System must first be initialized and
be in an operating mode capable of temperature control. Thereafter, when the System is
being remotely controlled from the Host, normal System operation is transparent to the
user.
