To connect the metal clip:
1. Place the metal clip flat against the MegaRAID controller board. Align the threaded hole of the
metal clip with the hole of the battery backup module. See the following figure.
2. Insert a 2-56 screw through the battery backup module and into the metal clip, and tighten the
screw.

WARNING
Damage to cache memory may result if the DRAM modules are removed or reseated. Carefully
disconnect the battery pack cable from the battery backup module before attempting to reseat,
remove, or install DRAM modules. Be sure to reconnect the battery pack cable before installing
the MegaRAID controller into the system.
