Panel Board 

The Front Panel Control Module resides next to the fan bay. The front panel board is installed onto 
the Front Panel Control Module. 

To replace the Front Panel Control Module, use the following steps:

Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the system. 

3.

 

Power down the system and unplug both AC power cords. 

4.

 

Remove the top cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Top Cover”, page 144. 

5.

 

Disconnect the cable between the front panel board and the SCSI backplane board. 

6.

 

Push the control panel out through the front of the chassis and store it in an anti-static bag.
