11. (Optional) Install the front bezel. For instructions, see “Installing the Front Bezel”
on page 29 .
12. Install the server system cover. For instructions, see “Installing the Server System
Cover” .
13. Plug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable into the server.
Removing a Slimline Optical Drive
1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See “Safety
Information” on page iii .
2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable.
3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see
“Removing the Server
System Cover” on page 30 .
4. If it is installed, remove the bezel. For instructions, see “Removing the Front
Bezel” on page 28 .
5. Disconnect the optical drive power and data cables. See letters “A” and “B” in
Figure 44 .
6. Remove the screw that holds the optical drive bracket to the server chassis. See
letter “C” in Figure 44. Save this screw. You will reinstall it later.
7. Slide the optical drive out through the front of the system. See letter “D” in
Figure 44.
