Accessing the Switch

Default Accounts

By default, the switch is configured with two accounts, as shown in 
Table 9.

Changing the Default Password

Default accounts do not have passwords assigned to them. 
Passwords must have a minimum of 4 characters, a maximum of 12 
characters, and are case-sensitive.

To add a password to the default admin account:

Log in to the switch using the name 

admin

.

At the password prompt, press [Return].

Add a default admin password. Type

config account admin

Enter the new password at the prompt.

Re-enter the new password at the prompt.

cannot be deleted.
