Depending on whether the supply unit is used for end-feeding or center-feeding, the switch must be set
„A“ for
end-feeding or to
„M“ for center-feeding.
Important note:
Plug in the mains supply only after all Floorline lamps, the sequencer and the supply unit are connected with
one another and, if necessary, protected with the safety sleeve.
Interchanging the connectors when the mains cable is plugged in may cause irreparable damage to the
Floorline lamps.
The supply units are equipped with the mains supply chord (1.5 m long), connectors for the Floorline lamp supply
lines and the control unit (sequencer).
Instructions for the installation of ACO DRAIN
®
channels
•
The ACO DRAIN
®
channels are to be laid in compliance with the corresponding prescriptions of the manufac-
turer. Observe also the general installation instructions of ACO DRAIN
®
Passavant GmbH.
•
It is important to ensure proper dewatering of the channels by connecting them to a drainage system or to a
seepage system (e.g. gravel bed).
•
ACO DRAIN
®
channels may not be used for drainage purposes when Floorline lamps are installed inside.
Instructions for mechanical fitting of the Floorline lamps and of the cover strip
•
For one connecting line, an installation hole of Ø 20 mm is needed.
•
After the installation, close the installation hole, e.g. with silicone, to prevent dirt or soil from getting into the
ACO DRAIN
®
channel.
•
The Floorline lamps are connected to one another inside the ACO DRAIN
®
channels. Any extensions of the ACO
DRAIN
®
lightline system must be laid outside the ACO DRAIN
®
on a sand bedding (sand 0/2 mm) as the com-
ponents might otherwise be damaged.
•
To prevent damage to the Floorline lamps, do not use a vibratory plate after laying.
•
All connecting lines may neither be modified nor shortened. Replace, if defective.
•
Make sure the connecting lines are laid so that they are protected against tensile and shear forces.
•
Do not expose connectors to bending or other mechanical stresses when installing them to prevent the penetra-
tion of moisture.
•
When laying the lines, make sure no foreign objects or dirt can get into the connectors.
•
Avoid sharp bends of the lines. The bending radius should not be less than 5 cm.
•
Do not immerse the Floorline lamps for longer periods in water.
•
The Foorline lamp is placed with both tube supports into the ACO DRAIN
®
channel. The pipe supports should
be installed about 15 cm away from the tube ends.
•
Close the Floorline lamp connectors with a dummy plug (Art. No. 5 8926 010) or a dummy socket (Art. No. 5 8926 011).
•
The male and the female halves of the waterproof connectors (IP 67) must be plugged into one another with the
right polarity and protected outside the ACO DRAIN
®
channels additionally against inadvertent disconnection.
Please proceed in compliance with the follow-
ing description.
1. The marks of the plug and socket connector
elements must be at the same level.
2. Slide the connector halves fully into one ano-
ther.
3. Place the safety sleeve (Art. No.
5 8923 000) round the connector and press
until it engages. The connection is then pro-
tected against accidental disconnection.
