Diagnostics
The Diagnostics tab is used mostly for troubleshooting and is not required for normal operation.
About USB8 - Diagnostics
Modem
•
IMEI
— The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number for the USB8.
•
IMEISV
— The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) combined with an approval
number for the USB8.
•
FW version
— The modem firmware version.
•
Mobile Number
— The Phone Number or Mobile Directory Number (MDN) is used by the
mobile data network to identify this particular data service.
•
SIM Status
— Status of the SIM card. If the SIM card is missing, or this field indicates some
form of SIM error, the USB8 will not be able to connect to the mobile network.
•
ICCID
— The ID number assigned to the SIM Card.
Network
•
Status
— The status of the network.
•
Network Operator
— The name of the Mobile Network Operator (MNO).
•
Signal Strength (RSRP)
— The strength of the cellular signal, measured in dBm. Higher
absolute values indicate a stronger signal, for example: -80 dBm is a stronger signal than -90
dBm.
•
SNR
— Signal to Noise Ratio. A measure of the ratio between signal strength and noise level.
SNR values are positive, and higher numbers are better.
•
Band
— The band in use for the current connection.
•
APN
— The Access Point Name (APN).
