(Dwg. MHP2683)

Refer to Dwg. MHP2683 on page 7, A. Securing Screw; B. Adjustment Screw.

1. Connect hoist to an air supply.

2. Release securing screw (102) and regulating screw (192) in order to increase or

decrease the SWL (increase SWL by tightening the regulating screw). Adjustment

must be made for an overload of 125% maximum of SWL.

3. Tighten securing screw.

4. Check hoist operation at rated load. If necessary repeat adjustment.

NOTICE

Do not change factory settings unless hoist is tested and recertified at an

Ingersoll Rand authorized service center.

Load Chain Replacement

WARNING

NEVER splice a load chain except when installing a new load chain by the

following method. Always discard link used to connect old chain with new.

Ingersoll Rand chain is chosen according to DIN norm 5684-Grade 80 with the

correct dimensions and tolerance to suit the load sprocket.

Removing Load Chain

1. Hoist must be hung and connected to air supply. Reduce air pressure to 60 psi

(4 bar).

2. Remove chain bucket.

3. Support the hook assembly 6 to 9 feet (2 to 4 meters) below the trolley. On

LC2A120D, LC2A180T and LC2A250Q hoists disconnect the load chain end from

the hook assembly or support.

4. Remove chain buffer and limit stop at chain bucket end of load chain.

5. Using an abrasive wheel, cut a section from the last link as shown in Dwg.

MHP0817 on page 7, A. ’A’ Dimension; B. ’C’ Link. Use a ’C’ link which is the same

size as the load chain. Refer to Table 6 ’C’ Link Dimension’ on page 7.

Installing Load Chain

For correct load chain installation refer to Dwg. MHP0472 on page 7, A. Load

Chain; B. Chain Wheel; C. Chain Weld To Outside On Powered Chain Wheels; D.

Standing Link.

CAUTION

Ensure that chain does NOT become twisted during reeving. All chain welds

must align while chain is hanging free.

LC2A060S Load Chain Installation

Follow instructions 1 to 5 under ‘Removing Load Chain’ on page 7. Also:

1. Remove hook assembly.

2. Install the ‘C’ Link in the last link of the load chain that was attached to the hook.

3. Connect the new load chain using the ‘C’ link. Make sure the welds on the new

chain links are in the same positions as they are on the old chain.

4. Slowly run the hoist in the lifting direction, running off the old chain and feeding

the new load chain over the chain wheel and through the hoist body. Refer to

Dwg. MHP3160 on page 7 for chain reeving information.

5. After the new load chain exits the hoist, remove the ‘C’ link. Install the buffer

(370) with capscrew (371), washer (374) and nut (372) on the chain bucket end.

6. Install the hook on the hook end of the chain.
