8.1  Using and Removing  

the Newborn Insert

You 

MUST

 use the newborn insert for 

children weighing between 4–11 lbs. 
(1.8–5.0 kg). Failure to use the insert could 
increase your child’s risk of injury or death. 
For your convenience, the Ingenuity 
InTrust 35 comes with the newborn insert 
already installed.

If your child weighs more than 11 lbs. (5.0 kg), remove the 
newborn insert:

1. 

Unbuckle the harness buckle.

2. 

Pull the buckle through the slot in the newborn insert.

3. 

Remove the newborn insert.

Reverse these steps to install the newborn insert.
