Functional Description

Part

Description

Filtrate pipe

Clear plastic pipe that conducts the filtrate from the module to the filtrate header.

Filtrate pipe
assembly

Assembly consisting of a filtrate pipe, two 90° elbow pieces PP 2” and four flexible
composite

couplings 2”.

Filtrate header

A pipe running parallel to the channel section above each module row; used to collect the
filtrate from all modules of the respective row.

Mounting clamp
PE

Mounted on the channel sections (DIN 1026) of the first and last module pair of a T-Rack

®

and carries the filtrate header.

Threaded pin

(DIN 913)

Used to connect the upper or lower T-pieces of two neighboring modules with the channel
sections (DIN 1026).

Adjustable foot
M16

Part of the frame foot. It is mounted on the bolt head of the frame foot bolt, rests on the
ground and, together with all of the other adjustable feet M16 of the frame, carries the
total weight of the T-Rack

®

.

Flexible 2”
composite
coupling set

Connectio

n piece between a 90° elbow piece PP 2”, a filtrate pipe, a filtrate port on the

module, and a filtrate port on the filtrate header.

Consists of a two-part coupling shell made of composite, two connecting bolts with nuts
and a gasket.

Flexible 6”
composite
coupling set

Connection piece between the T-pieces of two modules or between two filtrate headers of
neighboring sub-units. Consists of a two-part coupling shell made of composite material,
two connecting bolts with nuts and a gasket.

Channel section

Part of the bottom frame. U profile that runs along the longitudinal direction of the bottom
frame.

Membrane

Smallest filter unit of a module. A cylindrical part made of plastic with inside feed channels
for the water being purified; filters contamination out of the water in these feed channels
by means of microscopically small pores.

Module

Filter unit for installing in the T-Rack

®

. A module consists of a defined quantity of

Multibore

®

membranes installed in a cylindrical shell housing with T-pieces on both sides.

Channel section

(DIN 1026)

U profile. Connection of the upper T-pieces of two neighboring modules on which the
mounting clamp PE is still to be mounted.

Channel section

U profile. Connection of the lower T-pieces of two neighboring modules.

Channel section

(DIN 1026)

Part of the bottom frame. U profile that runs in transverse direction to the bottom frame.

Frame foot

Part of the bottom frame. It consists of a hex bolt, two nuts with washers and an
adjustable foot M16.

Lower frame

Base of a sub-unit, consisting of U profiles bolted together that are supported on the frame
feet and are inserted in the channel sections (DIN 1026) while still being movable.

T-Rack

®

Assembled ultrafiltration unit with 4 to 136 modules. A T-Rack

®

consists of one or more

sub-units.
