3 Powering EonStor GSe Pro
3.1 Powering EonStor GSe Pro for the First Time
The initialization process only occurs the first time you power on your EonStor GSe Pro system.
Before you power on the EonStor GSe Pro, make sure you have done the following:
1. Install at least two (2) hard disk drives into the enclosure hard disk drive slots 1 and 2
for the initialization process.
2. Make sure you have connected at least one Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port
(10GbE or 1GbE, shown in blue below).
3. Make sure you have connected the power cable to the power socket (shown in green
below).
4. Please power on the peripheral devices first (eg. switches, routers, servers, PCs, etc.).
Note:
The NAS server will operate using Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) when
Ethernet ports 0, 1, 2, 3 or all are connected. When DHCP fails to obtain a valid IP address
resulting in the NAS server unable to access the network, users can log into the NAS server
using its default IP address <10.0.0.1> for Ethernet port 0; <10.0.0.2> for Ethernet port 1;
<10.0.0.3> for Ethernet port 2 and <10.0.0.4> for Ethernet port 3.
For gateway access with static IP address, please contact your network administrator!
