SYSTEM SETUP AND USAGE
2.1 HARDWARE SETUP
Follow the steps given bellow for the hardware setup
1.
Ensure that the power adapter and battery are not connected to the Carrier board
2.
Install CPU Module
Four Standoffs with screws will be available on the carrier.
Remove the Screws from the standoffs.
Insert the Q7 Module on the corresponding connector with an angle 45 deg.
Press the board towards downward and make it mate with expansion connector.
Put the screws on the top of Q7 module for holding the board properly
NOTE
Make sure Q7 module is fully inserted in the MXM connector. Otherwise expansion connector
will not mate properly.
3.
Install Display adapter
MIPI display adapter board will be available with four standoff and screw assembly.
Remove the screws from the standoff.
Place the display adapter board on the MIPI connector with proper alignment.
Check the alignment of the corresponding mounting hole.
Press the display board until 7mm standoff touch on the carrier board.
Put the screws from the bottom side.
NOTE
Old revision display adapter boards may be available with snap lock instead of standoff. This
can be place and remove by pressing the lock from the bottom.
4.
Assemble the system as shown above with required options
5.
Install the battery (Optional)
6.
Connect the required power supply.
7.
Press the reset button (S505)
