circuits with operating voltages not to exceed 55VDC and operating
currents not to exceed 1A. The Product is UL 497 Listed. And is
appropriate for use as either a primary or secondary protector.
2.
Mounting the ALPU-ALVR (See Diagram): Mount the device as
close to the equipment to be protected as possible using the
provided hardware and the concealed mounting holes. Mount the
unit in the orientation shown, with the marking “UP” facing upward

Wiring the ALPU-ALVR
3.1 Removing the Cover:
Loosen the 4 captive cover screws us
ing a Phillips screwdriver and lift off the cover.
3.2 Wiring the Suppressor:
Thread a multiconductor cable from
the data source through the strain relief adjacent to the marking
on the PCB labeled Input. Strip back the cable jacket as needed,
then install the conductors into the IDC connectors labeled Input
using the following technique: Lay the wires into the grooves in
the connector, leaving approximately 1/8” of wire overhanging,
and press down firmly with the punch-down tool provided in the
packaging supplies until the wires firmly engage into the fork
terminals. Use the wiring tables in this document as well as the
callouts on the PCB as a guide. Repeat this procedure for the
outgoing multiconductor cable, using the connectors labeled Out
put. Tighten the strain reliefs to secure the cables (DO NOT OVER
TORQUE!!). Reinstall the cover.
The ALPU-ALVR is intended to be used with the following Alvarion
Product Families: BreezeMAX; BreezeACCESS VL; Breeze
ACCESS 4900; BreezeNET B Series and DS.11 Version
3.3 Grounding:
Connect the external ground lug on the enclosure
to a solid Earth ground. The unit must be grounded for the
suppressor to operate properly!
