Drive Train Preparation

1. Change the transmission fluid following the instruc-

tions in the transmission owner’s manual.

2. Drain the water from the cooling section of the

V-drive transmission.

a. ZF Ski-Vee. On these units, you can drain the

water by removing the two anodes (1, Figure 7.4)
or by removing one of the hoses that are
attached to the unit. If the sacrificial portion of the
anodes is less than 3/8" (9 mm), they must be
replaced.
