SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL
Thank you for using this product. Read, observe and adhere to the following safety instructions. Please keep the operating manual. Observe
all the warning notices on the components and in the operating manual.
PROPER USE
The device is designed solely for operation on audio and video equipment in private environments and solely for indoor use.
Connect it as specified in the operating instructions. Also observe the operating instructions of the devices to be connected.
Only use accessories which have been recommended by the manufacturer. The device may only be operated in the specified voltage range!
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Do not expose the device to high levels of humidity under any circumstances. Only operate the device on places which does not have a high
level of relative humidity and is free of moisture. Moisture can bypass the electrical insulation and pose a lethal danger.
Do not position the equipment near sources of heat, heaters, ovens or other heat-producing devices. Note that electric devices may heat
up during operation.
Extreme temperature fluctuations, humidity and extended exposure to light can damage the cable and alter their appearance. Make sure
that no foreign objects or liquids enter the device.
Make sure that the rack or board can safely support the weight of the device.
All cables must be placed in such a way that there is no danger to damage them (e.g. being stepped on, sharp edges etc.). The cable must
not be bended, pulled or twisted. Never remove cables by pulling the cable; instead, always hold the plug when disconnecting.
Pay attention to the accuracy and correct fit of the plugs or connectors. Do not use high force to plug the connectors into the device sockets.
In stand-by mode the devices connected to the Power Station are disconnected from the mains on all poles (phase and neutral conductor).
However, the absence of voltage is only ensured when the power plug is pulled out.
Devices which are connected to the mains consume electricity and are always a potential fire hazard. Therefore it is recommended to
completely disconnect the power station from the mains during absence!
FUSE
A fuse of 20A as part of the electrical installation of the building is assumed.
PROTECTIVE GROUNDING CONDUCTOR
The device corresponds to protection class 1, which requires proper protective earthing. The electrical safety of the device is therefore
only guaranteed if the protective grounding conductor of the device is connected to the protective grounding conductor of the electrical
installation of the building. In order to avoid property damage and personal injury (e.g. electric shock) due to a missing or interrupted
protective earthing conductor, this basic safety requirement must be met. Only use power cables with a protective conductor and sockets
with a protective contact. If in doubt, have the house installation checked by a qualified electrician.
POWER DISCONNECTION
The power cord must be able to be unplugged for safe disconnection from the mains. For this purpose, the power plug must be freely
accessible in order to disconnect the device quickly from the mains in case of a failure.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance on the product may only be performed by persons qualified to do so. Maintenance is necessary in all cases of damage, i.e.
in the case of damaged cables and plugs, as well as after liquid spills or objects falling on the device, devices falling down, foreign objects
entering the device, exposure of device to rain or humidity, or other influences impairing the functioning of the component.
LOOKING AFTER THE PRODUCT
Disconnect the components from the power supply before cleaning them Always clean the components with a soft, dry and lint-free cloth,
or with a brush. Do not under any circumstances use scouring powder, alcohol, benzine, furniture polish or similar substances.
POWER CABLES / POWER BARS
When using multiple power boards and extension cables, pay special attention to the DIN VDE 0100 part 420, para. 4.1 (risk of fire in
electrical installations). Furthermore, the VDE 0100-410:2007-06 also requires short breaks of 0.4 s for the TN system. The temperature of
the cable may rise in such cases to the point of causing a fire. Therefore, the following applies to ALL power boards: Do not connect them
in a row and do not use if covered! For power bars with two-pin relay, the units connected to the switched sockets will be reliably and
2-pin (also known as all-pin) disconnected from the mains. However, the absence of voltage in the unit is only ensured when the mains
plug is disconnected.
