Blue Box Audio Test Procedure (NEMA and Lockbox units only)
1. Turn monitor on
2. Make sure volume is turned up full
3. Using mouse right click select View 1 then the first channel name in the list (if asked to login,
please provide credentials).
4. This will make channel 1 in full screen mode and activate audio output to monitor.
5. Squelch should be heard by squelching the Port VHF. If no squelch is heard, squelch Starboard
VHF. If squelch is heard, the audio input is on the wrong input channel (please contact installer).
6. Once the correct VHF is determined you can un ‐ squelch and transmit. You should hear your
voice or a high pitch squeal thru the monitor speakers as the microphone is activated and back
feeding thru the system. This test should be done in both low and high power.
7. Once this is verified right click the mouse, select View 1 and the second channel name in the list.
8. Squelch should be heard by squelching the Starboard VHF. If no squelch is heard, squelch Port
VHF. If squelch is heard, the audio input is on the wrong input channel (please contact installer).
9. Once the correct VHF is determined you can un ‐ squelch and transmit. You should hear your
voice or a high pitch squeal thru the monitor speakers as the microphone is activated and back
feeding thru the system. This test should be done in both low and high power.
10. If hang up option is installed you should hear your voice or high pitch squeal whenever the
microphone is lifted off the hang ‐ up switch or cradle (on View 1 third channel).
11. Once all audio is confirmed please right select and choose View 4, View 8 or View 16 depending
on which system you have installed.
