Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to all required directives of
the EU and is therefore marked with
.
It is essential to observe the following items:
G
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temper-
ature range 0 – 40 °C).
G
Do not place any vessels filled with liquid, e. g.
drinking glasses, on the unit.
G
The heat generated in the speaker cabinet is dis-
sipated through the cooling fins (10). Therefore,
do not cover them. Never place the cabinet
directly on a wall; keep a corresponding dis-
tance.
G
Do not set the unit into operation, and immedi-
ately disconnect the mains plug from the mains
socket if
1. there is visible damage to the unit or to the
mains cable,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or
similar accident,
3. malfunctions occur.
The unit must in any case be repaired by skilled
personnel.
G
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the
mains plug from the mains socket, always seize
the plug.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use
chemicals or water.

correctly connected or operated, or not repaired
in an expert way.

Applications
The active subwoofer system PSUB-115AK is ide-
ally suited for bass support of full range speakers or
for bass reproduction in combination with satellite
speakers. The internal amplifier delivers an rms
power of 300 W (500 W
MAX
) to the 38 cm bass
speaker.

Setting-up and Connection
of the Subwoofer Cabinet
Prior to the connection or changing existing con-
nections, switch off the subwoofer system and the
units to be connected.
1) Place the speaker cabinet on a solid ground and
direct it towards the audience. As an alternative,
the PSUB-115AK can be placed onto a standard
speaker stand of 35 mm tube diameter (e. g.
from the PAST series from “img Stage Line”) via
the stand sleeve in the lower side.
If a microphone is used, do not direct the
speaker system to the microphone and keep a
sufficient distance to the microphone as other-
wise an acoustic feedback may occur.
2) As a signal source, connect an audio unit with
line output (e. g. mixer, preamplifier) to one of
the two inputs LINE INPUT:
a stereo unit to the RCA jacks (3) or
a mono unit to the XLR jack (4).
If the unit is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the
environment.
WARNING
The unit is supplied with hazardous
mains voltage. Leave servicing to
skilled personnel only! Inexpert han-
dling or modification of the unit may
cause an electric shock hazard.
