SECTION 2: ASSEMBLING YOUR SNOW THROWER
NOTE:
Reference to right or left side of the snow thrower is determined from behind the unit in the operating
position. The “operator’s position” is defined as standing directly behind the snow thrower, facing the handle.
Unpacking

Remove plastic bag that covers parts with unit.

Remove any loose parts included with unit (i.e., Operator’s Manual. etc.).
Loose Parts
The augers are secured to the auger shaft with two shear pins and cotter pins. If you hit a foreign object or
ice jam, the snow thrower is designed so that the pins may shear. Two replacement shear pin and nylon
locknut are provided for your convenience. Store in a safe place until needed. See figure 1.

Assembly
Assemble the Lower handle and the Frame Assembly
1. Remove the bolts, cupped washers from each side of the frame assembly.
2. Raise the lower handle and make the holes on the lower handle align with the holes on the frame
assembly.
3. Secure the lower handle and engine holder with the bolts, cupped washers previously removed and
tighten the nut with a wrench. See figure 2.
