Metal sawing
When sawing metallic material, make sure you use a sharp blade designed for this purpose. We recom-
mend lubricating the cutting surface with cutting oil to avoid heat build-up. Then proceed as instructed in
chapter “General sawing”.
WARNING!
Danger of fire from flying sparks! Sawing metal creates flying sparks. For this reason, always
make sure that nobody is placed in any danger and that there are no inflammable materials near the working
area.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
Do not allow brake fluid, gasoline, petroleum-based products, penetrating oils etc. to come in con-
tact with plastic parts of the tool. They contain chemicals that can damage, weaken or destroy the housing,
thus comprising the integrity of the double insulation.
Inspecting the mounting screws
Regularly inspect all mounting screws to ensure that they are properly tightened. Should any of the screws be
loose, tighten them immediately.
Maintenance of the motor
The motor unit winding is the very heart of the tool. Exercise due care to ensure the winding does not become
damaged and/or wet with oil or water.
Inspecting the carbon brushes
The motor employs carbon brushes which are consumable parts. Since excessively worn brushes could result
in motor trouble, have them replaced immediately with identical ones when they become worn to or near the
limit. The check and replacement of the brushes should only be carried out by an authorized service center
using only original spare parts to ensure the integrity of double insulation.
Always keep carbon brushes clean
and ensure they slide freely in the brush holder.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) warning
Meaning of crossed out wheeled dustbin:
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection
facilities. Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems
available. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances
can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging your health and well-
being. When replacing old appliances with new ones, the retailer is legally obligated to take
back your old appliance for disposals at least free of charge.
