Hotshoe Installation - Diagram B, Front Page

1.

Line up Hotshoe Connector End with Bulkhead Connector End and

push together. Tab will click into place and be in the “up” position

when properly connected.

2.

Slide Hotshoe forward into camera mount until Hotshoe stops.

Make sure Hotshoe is all the way forward in camera mount to

assure a good connection.

3.

To confirm TTL operation, connect the strobe and set the camera at

its widest aperture, such as f/2.8. Trip the shutter while the camera

and strobe are aimed at a very close, well-lit subject. The strobe

should produce only a small blip of light. Repeat this with the lens

covered and the strobe should produce a full power flash.

Important Information

A DS-series strobe(s), TTL Sync Cord, and an Ikelite TTL Converter

must be used in conjunction with the Nikon TTL Hotshoe (yellow

band) to achieve TTL exposure. Using a TTL Hotshoe without a

TTL Converter may damage your camera.
To trigger strobe(s) manually use the Hotshoe (not banded) that

was included with the housing.
To replace the Hotshoe, depress the Hotshoe Connector Tab,

Diagram B, front page, and pull away from Bulkhead Connector.
