From the Windows 2000/XP, double-click [System] in the [Control Panels], select [Hardware] tab, and click the [Device
Manager] button in the [System Properties].

: If there is a mark next to the icon for the Ikebana™ IEEE 1394 External DVD-R/RW or the IEEE 1394/FireWire®
bus controller, this means that it has not been properly installed. In either case, the Ikebana™ IEEE 1394 External DVD-
R/RW may not work properly.
Unplugging the External DVD-R/RW Drive
Windows 98 Second Edition IEEE 1394 Storage Supplement installs a Safe Removal utility that allows you to safely stop
a Plug and Play storage device prior to physically unplugging the device. This component also includes an update for
IEEE 1394 drivers to resolve issues related to surprise removal of peripheral devices. To obtain this supplement, please

Computers running under Windows 2000/XP allow for disconnection after you complete the “unplugging” procedure
properly.
Click on the Windows Unplug or Eject Hardware icon in your system icon tray located at the bottom right corner of your
screen. See the dialog box and click “Stop Ikebana™ IEEE 1394 External DVD-R/RW”. In the next dialog box click “Ok”
for safe removal of your External DVD-R/RW.
Installing the Software
CD Burning Software Installation:
B's Recorder GOLD can be easily installed by inserting the CD-ROM and following the instructions on the screen.
1. Insert Ikebana™ Software Bundle CD into your CD-ROM or CD-RW drive. Autorun will automatically run setup or
to install the program manually, browse this CD in [My Computer] and double click the appropriate setup.exe file.

2. Click “Next”. The software agreement appears. Click “Next” if you agree.
