Note : Legs can be shared by two
cab i nets, see the i nstruct i ons. Place the
corner cab i net aga i nst the wall so that
i ts back edge i s rest i ng on the support
board. Through the holes at the top

3. Secure the suppor t board

Secure i t to the studs. Should the end of
the support board fall between studs,

i t to the wall w i th a heavy-duty
anchor.
2. Cut base cabinet suppor t boards
Measure the length of the base and
h i gh cab i nets to be i nstalled. Do not
i nclude the wall space beh i nd appl i -
ances. Cut the base cab i net support
board i nto measured lengths. Cut the

9. Drill thr ough the cabinet walls
F or all doors e x cept UL R IKSDAL use a

" dr i ll b i t to dr i ll through the fourth
holes from the top and bottom edges.
For UL
R IKSDAL door, dr i ll through the
second holes from the top/bottom. When
i nstall i ng a drawer cab i net, dr i ll
through the f i fth hole from the top.
8. Install the next base cabinet
Mark, dr i ll, and i nsert the screws for
the ne x t cab i net. L i ft the cab i net i nto
place, carefully al i gn i ng i t w i th the
prev i ous cab i net and secur i ng them
together w i th a clamp.
7. Secure the cabinet to the wall
T i ghten the screws , but not completely.
Assure that the cab i net i s level front-to-
back and s i de-to-s i de. H i nt : Install i ng
the LAZY SUSAN i s eas i er now than
after the countertops are i n place.
6. Install the corner cabinet
L i ft the corner cab i net bac k i nto place
and ad j ust the legs so that i t stands
level.
5. Drill, anchor and screw
Us i ng the appropr i ate dr i ll b i t and type
of screw for your wall mater i al, dr i ll
holes at the spots you’ve marked. If
there’s no stud,
i nsert a heavy-duty
anchor then the screw and t i ghten
halfway.
12. Tighten all the screws
When all base cab i nets ha ve been
mounted and al i gned, t i ghten all screws
i nto the wall. Now the h i gh cab i net i s
i n place, make the f i nal ad j ustments to
the wall cab i nets and t i ghten all the
screws.
11. Install the high cabinet
The h i gh cab i net should be i nstalled
the same way you i nstalled the base
cab i nets. If you ´ re us i ng a cover panel
on one s i de, mount th i s before i nstall-
i ng the cab i net us i ng the enclosed
i nstruct i ons
10. Fasten cabinets together
Place the connect i on screws enc losed
w i th the cab i net frames i nto the holes
and t i ghten. Cont i nue i n th i s fash i on
w i th the rema i n i ng base cab i nets

the wall so you’ll

When you’ve completed Step 4, all of the cab i net frames w i ll be i n place.
18. The finishing touch
Dab your f i nger i nto a 3- i n-1 o i l to pre -
vent the caulk from st i ck i ng, then run
your f i nger along the caulk, forc i ng i t
i nto the crev i ce. R emove the tape for an
a i rt i ght seal and a stra i ght edge.
17. Prepare the area to be caulked
T o produce an a i rt i ght seal between the
wall and the cab i net, you’ll need to
caulk around the f i ller p i eces. Choose a
well made late x brand ( i t doesn’t need
to be waterproof.) Tape alongs i de the
area to be caulked. Apply a bead of
caulk
i nto the crev i ce.
15. Install filler pieces
Put the f i ller p i ece i n place w i th the cut
edge aga i nst the wall. Attach by dr i ll i ng
a screw through the predr i lled holes
from the i ns i de of the cab i net. Install
other f i ller p i eces i n the same way.
When you’ve f i n i shed i nstall i ng all
f i ller p i eces, go to p i cture 17.
Cut the template mater i al so that i t’s
the same he i ght as the cab i net. Hold i t
i n place where the f i ller w i ll be
i nstalled. Open the compass a couple of
i nches and place the po i nt aga i nst the
wall. Hold i ng the compass hor i zontal
and level, follow the l i ne of the wall so
that the penc i l traces a clear l i ne on the
template. To cut the template to the cor-
rect w
i dth, measure the d i stance from
the farthest po i nt on the wall to the cab-
i net. F i nd the same po i nt on the tem-
plate and mark i t. Draw a stra i ght l i ne
from th i s po i nt to the top and bottom of
the template to form the flat edge that
w
i ll f i t aga i nst the cab i net. Cut the tem-
plate and check that i t f i ts, then trace
the shape onto the fller and follow the
cutt
i ng d i rect i ons i n p i cture 14.
16. If the wall is uneven
If the w all i s not level and flat, the f i ller
must be cut to conform to the wall’s
shape. To do th
i s, you’ll need to make a
template for trac i ng the wall’s shape
onto the f i ller. A p i ece of th i n plywood or
heavy cardboard makes a su i table tem-
plate. You’ll also need a measur i ng tape,
penc i l and compass.

Ne x t, i t’s t i me for the base and h i gh
cab i nets. Before you beg i n, note all plumb-
i ng, power sources and other ut i l i t i es.
Measure these locat i ons carefully, and,
us i ng a hole saw, cut the appropr i ate
open i ngs before each cab i net i s i nstalled.
In the follow i ng steps, you’ll i nstall
the legs at the front of the cab i nets, and
secure a cab i net support board to the wall.
Th i s i s a length of part i cleboard packed
together w i th the toe-k i ck panels. If you
prefer, you can use legs on the back of the
cab
i nets i n l i eu of the support board.
4. Star t with the corner cabinet
Attac h legs to the front edges of the
cab i nets accord i ng to package i nstruc-
t i ons. If you are not us i ng the support
board, attach back legs as well.
Always use a back leg at the end of the
run, as th

14. Cut filler pieces
W i th a handsaw : draw a l i ne connect i ng
the top and bottom marks on the front

i de of the f i ller, and cut i t w i th the face
s i de up. J i gsaw : mark both s i des of the
f i ller. Put mask i ng tape over the l i ne on
the front s i de to prevent ch i pp i ng. Cut
i t from the back s i de.

you level the top of the base cab i nets.
13. Measure filler pieces
Chec k the wall w i th your level to see i f
i t i s even and flat. If so, measure the
d i stance from the wall to the cab i net
and mark th i s d i stance at the top and
bottom of the f i ller p i ece. Note : If the
