Multi-Charger Manual
Dear customer,
this Multi-charger is specially designed for small and medium battery packs for ShockFlyer and Helicopters. It is possib-
le to charge 4-10 NiCd, NiMH or 1-4 LiPo cells.
Basic Specs:
Power source:
12 V car accu or regulated 12 – 13,8V DC power supply, minimum 5 Amps
Output current:
0,5; 0,75; 1; 1,5; 2; 3 A
Automatic switch off:
delta peak for NiCd and NiMH cells
Automatic switch off:
reaching 4,2 V per cell –LiPo
NiCd /NiMH accu charging
-set the jumper NiCd / Li-poly in NiCd position
-set jumper for correct charging current. We recommend a maximum of 2C charging current (for 500mAh accu it is 1
Amp). Total charging time is 30-35 minutes.
- connect charger to the car accu, LED No.2 fl ashes – waiting for accu
- connect power pack to the charger. Please check for correct polarity.
- 8 seconds after connecting LED No.1 lights, then all 3 LEDs fl ash – charging in progress
- when charging is complete – only green LED No.3 lights
LiPo accu charging
- set the jumper NiCd / Li-poly in Li- poly position
- set jumper for correct charging current. We recommend a maximum of 1C charging current ( for 1000mAh accus it
means 1Amp charging current). Typical charging time is one hour.
- connect charger to the car accu, LED No.2 fl ashed – waiting for accu
- connect power pack to the charger. Please check for correct polarity .
- 8 seconds after connecting, LED No.1 lights, then fl ashes. Number of fl ashes is the same as the number of LiPo cells,
which is automatically detected by charger.
- We recommend that you check it. If you detect any difference, please disconnect the charged accus and after 10
seconds connect again.
- when the voltage per cell reaches 4,2V ; LED No. 2 lights.
From that moment on the current is limited to hold a constant voltage of 4,2 V per cell.
- if the current reaches 25% of its initial value, the green LED No. 3 starts to light – at this
moment the accu is already charged to 95%.
- fully charged accu – green LED No.3 lights, LED No. 2 is off , LED No.1 fl ashes the number of charged cells.
Attention
The wires from the charger to your accus must not be longer than 50 cm. Use only good quality connectors and con-
nect the wires to the connectors by soldering.
Built in Protection:
- wrong polarity car battery – nothing lights
- wrong polarity charging accu – Led No. 2 fl ashes – waiting for right polarity
- short circuit betwen accu + and accu - LED No.2 fl ashes – waiting for right connection
- temperature overload protection – all 3 LEDs fl ash
