Set Up:
After opening the box please inspect the contents and compare to the “In the box”list. Once
you have accounted for all your items it’s time to set up. Set up will vary depending on your
needs for the monitor. The most common use for this monitor is as an on camera display
which enhances the shooting by aiding the camera person in framing, lighting, color and
focus. To set up this monitor in this fashion follow the next steps:
A. attach the camera mount to the monitor.
B. slide the camera mount with monitor attached into the hot shoe adapter on the camera.
C. attach appropriate video cable for this camera. Choose between Component, S-Video and
composite video. (when attaching through component or composite video you will use BNC
connections, adapters are availble to convert rca connections to bnc)
D. After hooking up the appropriate video cable to and from your camera and monitor you
are ready to adjust any settings you wish such as color, contrast, brightness etc. The follow-
ing pages will walk you through the v8000HD’s menu settings. Take a moment to familarize
yourself with these options and set up your new monitor to your preferences.
