Monitoring
You can monitor your recordings via the iRig Mic Field’s headphone output jack or via your device’s headphone
output jack.
TIPS: if your device’s headphone out is free and unobstructed from iRig Mic Field we recommend to use it
instead of the one built in to the microphone, due to the lower mechanical noise generated by the headphone
cable when connected directly to the mobile device.
If you are using the headphone output on the microphone, we recommend to lock the cable with your hand,
so that it moves the least possible to avoid unwanted noises. Similarly, if you use a tripod, make sure to fix the
cable to the tripod via tape or velcro.
Device with protective case
If you are going to use iRig Mic Field with a device with a protective case, make sure that the Lightning opening
on the case is wide enough to allow the iRig Mic Field’s Lightning connector to plug in to the bottom.
