Solution

Symptom

Possible Problem

No sound from iHM8

Volume is set too low on MP3 player

Ipod is not connected to audio cable

Make sure volume is turned up on your iPod or other MP3 player

Make sure the audio cable plug is connected properly to the headphone
jack on your iPod or other MP3 player

Sound is distorted

Sound source is distorted

Batteries are weak

If  the iPod original sound source (MP3) is old or of poor quality,
distortion and noise are easily noticed with high-power speakers. Try a
different audio source such as a music CD.

Try reducing the output volume on the device itself. Also try setting iPod
EQ to flat.

Loud noise when using
iPhone

Loud buzzing (TDMA noise) from the iPhone
may occur due to the iPhone sending
signals out to cell towers

Set your iPhone to Airplane mode. Note: the iPhone will not ring
while Airplane mode is on.
