audio signal into data to receive it.

POTS.

An acronym for Plain Old Telephone Service.

The Point-to-Point Protocol. This is a communications protocol that

was defined in RFC 1661, as the Internet standard for transmitting

network layer IP packets over serial point-to-point links.
