Drive chain damaged or
broken.
Chain connecting link broken. (The chain link is
used as a mechanical fuse and is meant to
break to avoid chain damage or other
component damage.)
Replace chain link.
Sprockets out of alignment.
Align sprockets.
Loose chain.
Tighten chain to correct tension.
Broom bearing damaged, loose bearing
mounting bolts, and / or improper installation of
bearings.
Repair or replace.
Abruptly reversing the broom rotation.
Allow broom to stop rotating before
changing broom rotation direction.
