OPERATING
Battery installation and exchange
The batteries are placed on the back side of the tool.
1. Press the click on the battery cover to open the battery case.
2. Put 2 new AAA (LR03) batteries (not included) respecting the polarity. You can find polarity
icon on the tool side and on the cover.
3. Close the battery cover.
Note:
Exchange the batteries when the display is fade or showing unclear values. Always replace both
batteries. If you don‘t use your tool for longer period, replace the batteries as well. During prolonged
storage, the batteries can discharge and rust.
CALIBRATION
The tool needs calibration after battery installation or when showing inexact values. When
calibrating after battery installation, skip step 2.
1. Switch the tool on and put it on a flat surface. („horizontal bubble“ upwards and display
facing you).
2. Press and hold for ca. 5 s the ON/OFF + C button, the display shows the flashing icon „--1 --“.
3. Press the „ON/OFF“ button, the display shows the icon at the „--2 --“ is displayed.
4. Turn the tool by 180° („horizontal bubble“ is still upwards, display away from you). Then press
the „ON/OFF“ button to conclude the calibration. The tool shows the current angle.
Note:
During the calibration make sure that the digital level is stabilized on the calibration surface.
USE
You can use the tool as a „normal“ inclinometer to measure with the aid of the vertical or horizontal
bubbles. Or you can use it as a digital angle gauge.
1. Short press the ON/OFF button to switch the display on/off.
2. Use the tool to measure the surface angle and read the measured current value at the display.
3. When measuring with display on, the tool makes 2x acoustic signal when reaching the flat,
the perpendicular or 45°.
4. When you turn the tool over > 180° (working over your head) the characters will automatically
turn over 180° for better readout.
5. Press the HOLD button to freeze the current displayed value. The „H“ icon flashes for 6 s when
the tool is kept still and then the value will be locked. Press the HOLD button again to cancel the
frozen value and show the current measured value.
6. To switch between absolute and relative values, short press the C button.
The display shows a rectangle at the characters = the absolute angle is displayed i.e. the angle to the
horizontal.
The display shows only the characters (no rectangle) = the relative/slope angle is displayed. The tool
will be set at zero in the current position and the measured values are displayed with reference to
this benchmark.
7. To switch between measurement in degrees and in „%“, press the „M“ button.
The display shows DEG = the angle is displayed in degrees.
The display shows % = the angle is displayed as a slope in %.
8. When projecting the actual level on a distant surface, you can use the spot laser. Switch the
laser on using the switch on the tool side ( „I“-on „0“-off). The midpoint of the beam is 2 cm over the
measured level. (To use the laser, the display can be off).
