5. After the PoE injec
tor detects the existence of an IEEE 802.3af/at/bt device, the
PoE-in-Use LED indicator illuminates steadily to indicate that it is providing power.
Note:
Because the PoE injector supports a 52
-
56 VDC PoE power output, ensure that
the powered device (PD) s
upports the PoE standard.
PoE injector and POE304-EX-4P PoE extender
installation
1. Connect the power adapter to “52-
56V DC IN” on the PoE injector. The “PWR” LED
illuminates steadily.
2. Connect a standard Ethernet cable
from “EDC” port of the PoE injector to
the “PoE IN” port of the PoE extender.
3. The PoE injector delivers both Ethernet Data and PoE power over UTP cable to the
PoE extender and the POE-in-
Use LED of PoE injector and the “PWR” LED
of the
PoE extender illuminate steadily.
4. Connect the additional standard Ethernet cable to be used for connecting the
remote powered device (PD) to the “PoE OUT” port of the poE extender.
5. The "PoE OUT" port is also the power injectors that transmit DC voltage to the
standard network cable and transfer data and power simultaneously between the
PoE injector and PD.

After the PoE extender detects the existence of an IEEE 802.3af/at device, the “PoE
OUT”
LED indicator illuminates steadily ON to indicate that it is providing power.
