Image zone and sensitivity setting
In this step of parameter setting you can define the image zone and the binarisation
threshold for the image evaluation.
The image zone is the zone which the contour sensor uses to evaluate an image.
Everything outside the image zone is ignored.
Internally, the sensor works with a black-and-white image. You can set the binarisa-
tion threshold required for the conversion of the grey-scale image into a black-and-
white image by means of the
slider bar. All grey scale values below the
threshold value are classified as black, all values above the threshold value are classi-
fied as white. Via the
button the sensor automatically suggests an optimum
value for the binarisation threshold.
You can update the image by activating the
button to test the settings with
different samples.
The sensor shows all contours found within the image zone. Thus you can assess at
once the effect of changes in the settings.
